Position Summary:
Under direct supervision of the Sports Betting Assistant Manager, supervise the day-to-day functions of the areas of Sports Betting activities offered by Tohono O’odham Gaming Enterprise (TOGE), while creating a fun, friendly, and courteous environment for all guests.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
*  Practices outstanding guest service, to both internal and external guests, by promoting teamwork and creating a fun, friendly and inviting atmosphere that encourages mutual respect
*  Ensures compliance with department, casino, gaming regulatory policies, procedures, and internal controls
*  Proactive in anticipating guests needs striving to provide memorable service experiences
*  Arrives on property to work in complete uniform, displaying a well-groomed appearance and clean hygiene
*  Presents a polished and professional image at all times
*  Demonstrates basic knowledge of other games and services offered by TOGE at each property
*  Supervises all Sports Betting Clerks
*  Sets up and posts all sporting events
*  Verifies LED boards are correct; provides and verifies accuracy of guest informational sheets
*  Maintains all video screens for sports
*  Updates and maintains all customer sheets
*  Opens and closes Sports Betting each day
*  Routinely strives to build and achieve guest satisfaction
*  Maintains confidentiality regarding customer play
*  Communicates effectively with all co-workers and guests
*  Assists Sports Betting Assistant Manager with creating effective and efficient schedules
*  Promotes a positive environment for all guests and team members to encourage the return visit of guests and achieve job satisfaction for all team members.
*  Prepares and reviews currency transaction logs for accuracy on assigned shift
*  Reviews multiple transaction logs for accuracy on assigned shift
*  Responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulatory compliance within the area of responsibility and reporting potential issues
*  Ensures all staff is trained and follows Currency Transaction Requirements (CTR) and Suspicious Activity Report (SAR); responsible for ensuring all paperwork is completed and reported in accordance with established compliance procedures
*  Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters
*  Maintains the morale of the department through open communication and teamwork
*  Interacts with guests and team members by maintaining a visible presence in guest areas during peak business periods
*  Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required
*  Responsible for team development and training programs
*  Evaluates team members within the department and delivers constructive feedback regarding performance
*  Provides recommendations for team member performance (disciplining, coaching, and counseling)
*  Provides recommendations for staffing (including interviewing and hiring) and scheduling (planning, assigning, and directing work) to meet business needs
*  Performs other duties as assigned

 Minimum Qualifications:
 
 Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED; one (1) year related customer service and high-volume cash handling experience required.  Minimum of one (1) years Sportsbook supervisor experience or equivalent Class III casino gaming supervisor experience. Bookmaking experience, which includes the ability to move game lines and update futures.  Must be 18 years of age or older. No felony, theft or stealing convictions. Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background investigation, obtain and maintain a gaming license and to include the following:
 
 Knowledge, Abilities, Skills, and Certifications:
*  Must be proficient in computer knowledge to include keyboarding skills, all Microsoft Office applications, email usage, and database, spreadsheets, and word processing software
*  Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
*  Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
*   Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
*  Must have the ability to interact with guests, team members, and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
*  Knowledge of all office machines and tools
*  Ability to manage work procedures and expedites workflow
*  Ability to work any shift or hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime
*  Extensive and complete knowledge of Internal Controls
*  Knowledge of procedures and casino floor operations
*  Extensive knowledge and practice of all Title 31 requirements
*  Skill in human relations, communication and supervision of assigned staff
*  Must know basic strategy and identify warning signs of advantage play
*  Ability to communicate effectively in the English language, both verbally and in writing with staff and the general public
*  Ability to apply basic mathematical skills to player and money tracking
*  Ability to practice the principles of public relations and outstanding guest service
*  Ability to appropriately manage stressful situations, occasionally dealing with irate customers
*  Ability to respond to visual and auditory cues
*  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral form


Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the team member regularly is required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The team member frequently is required to walk. The team member occasionally is required to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment:
Work is generally performed in a casino setting with exposure to second-hand smoke and a high noise level. Evening, graveyard, holiday and/or weekend work will be required. Extended hours and irregular shifts will be required.
