Position Summary:
Under direct supervision of the IT Infrastructure Manager, identifies potential information and network or internet security vulnerabilities. Designs and implements information security standards for applications and databases. Conducts analysis, investigates and recommends security technologies. Ensures site security and provides consultation on security issues staying abreast of current malware and other potential internet security threats. Requires specific information technology security certifications. Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge. Works autonomously. Goals are generally communicated in solution or project goal terms. May assume a team lead role for the work group.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
*  Ensure Compliance with all state, Tohono O’odham Gaming Enterprise and Tohono O’odham Gaming Office Tribal Gaming Regulations.
*  Researches, designs and advocates new technologies, architectures, and security products that will support security requirements for the enterprise and its customers, business partners and vendors - i.e. Intrusion Prevention Systems, Security Incident and Event Management Systems, Network Forensics, etc.
*  Evaluates and develops secure solutions, based on approved security architectures. Analyzes business impact and exposure, based on emerging security threats, vulnerabilities and risks.
*  Communicates security risks and solutions to business partners and IT staff.
*  Perform security checkpoint reviews, ensuring security requirements have been identified and adequate testing performed
*  Serves as a security expert in application development, database design, network and platform (operating system) efforts, helping project teams comply with enterprise and IT security policies, industry regulations, and best practices.
*  Researches technological advancements to ensure that security solutions are continuously improved, supported and aligned with industry and company standards.
*  Assist in responding to audit requests and issues
*  Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field plus 7 years of experience in Information Security; Must have experience in the following areas: 
*  Developing information security policies and standards
*  Developing and improving information security processes
*  Implementing and configuring information security tools
*  Business Continuity Planning and Disaster Recovery
Equivalent combination of education and experience. Relevant and direct experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirement. Must be 18 years of age or older. No felony, theft or stealing convictions. Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background investigation, obtain and maintain a gaming license and to include the following:

Knowledge, Abilities, Skills, and Certifications:
*  Required non-expired professional certification CISSP (Certified Information Security Systems Professional).
*  Required non-expired professional certification CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker).
*  Knowledge of information systems vulnerability management processes and technologies.
*  Knowledge of quality and process improvement disciplines.
*  Knowledge of recognize standards such as ISO2700x, COBIT, and ITIL V3.
*  Knowledge of Tohono O’odham Gaming Enterprise internal controls(IC’s) and Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS).
*  Strong understanding of Firewalls, Web/E-mail Proxies, IPS/IDS, SIEM tools, Sourcefire.
*  Strong understanding of information security concepts, threats, vulnerabilities, and controls.
*  Must have significant scanning skills.

*  Must have Flexibility and adaptability in the face of changing priorities; ability to evaluate and manage risk; ability to negotiate resolutions of conflicting security and business objectives.
*  Ability to provide detailed communication to management and peers, the ability to work independently, and the ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities.
*  Skill in SQL Databases and networks.
*  Sill in Vulnerability Management.
*  Skill in operating Microsoft technologies.


Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the team member regularly is required to sit and stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The team member frequently is required to walk. The team member occasionally is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.


Work Environment:
Work is generally performed in an office and casino setting with exposure to second-hand smoke and a high noise level. Evening, graveyard, holiday and/or weekend work may be required. Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required.
